About Caro Rossdale
Caro Rossdale's work draws on nature and the texture within it as well as giving movement to the human figure through the freedom of stitch on fabric.
Caro studied at Central Saint Martin's and is now based in an Old Sub Station studio in Harlesden. She likes to negotiate the fragility and un-regularity of the figure.
A high interest in architecture has also expanded her inspiration through the nature which grows within our cities bringing a calmness to what one can call a very hectic world. Bringing a softness to a very solid and strong structure. A lot of her work explores the use of light and she has brought all these qualities together with her light installations using bamboo to create the structures.
She adores the way that through the use of stitch not one piece of work will ever be the same which gives a constant surprise and courage as it could either be a disaster or a triumph.
She has worked with Barmy Arts london as she is a firm believer in the fight against mental health issues.
Many pieces are available to buy as prints starting at £145 for an A4 print and can be mounted and framed at an additional cost.
